TomTom GO 510

TomTom GO 510

If you are considering one of the higher cost bluetooth car kits, then you should include the TomTom range of GPS systems in those considerations, as the prices are very comparable.

The Go 510, for example, has a 4 inch colour screen for fingertip navigation, and has a built in bluetooth handsfree car kit.

The TomTom Go 510 is plug and go - there is no wiring into your car required - and with Bluetooth, the system connects to your Bluetooth mobile phone.

Amazon.co.uk currntly are offering this system for under £294 including delivery (correct as at September 2006; Check the link for current price), which compares well with other options, given that you get the in car navigation system as well!

Another feature that may well start appearing in Bluetooth car kits, but not available yet is an ipod connection to enable you to play your MP3's in the car

There has been some concern that the sound quality for the handsfree is not as good as a dedicated car kit. If you prefer the added features this solution will offer, it is certainly worth consideration
