Parrot RKi8400

The Parrot RKi8400 comes complete with the "Made for iPod" and "Works With iPhone" badges of honour, which means that it is designed to work with both devices, straight out of the box. In addition to being iPhone compatible, the RKi8400 can connect through Bluetooth to other mobile phones and will pair with up to 10 handsets, automatically downloading the address book (up to 1000 contacts per phone, with the ability to store a total of 8,000 contacts).

Rather than being a conventional hands free device, the RKi8400 is a radio replacement unit, with built in 4 x 50W amplifier that connects into your car speakers to allow full music streaming and control of your iPhone through the controls on the front of the device. It has training free voice recognition, voice answer or reject, and text-to-speech functions. Calls are relayed through the car speakers and there is built in echo cancellation and noise reduction features.

Functions are accessed through the dial knob on the front and there is a 2.4” colour screen that shows contacts, playlists and album covers. The front panel is removable and provides for safe storage of your iPhone behind it and there is a one hand auto insert mechanism.

If you are not an iPhone owner, then your Bluetooth phone will connect through Bluetooth and can use the same in call functions described above. There is an SD card music player and line in, to stream music from other MP3 players. There is an AM/FM radio tuner with RDS and 38 station presets.
